The Absorbent Wound Dressing portfolio is indicated for the management of lightly to moderately exuding chronic and acute wounds. The range is designed to promote a moist wound environment, which can support wound healing. The range includes products designed for partial and full thickness pressure sores and leg ulcers as well as superficial wounds, skin tears and post-operative wounds.
All dressings in the range have a low-friction polyurethane top film, which acts as a protective barrier to external contaminants and water from showering.
These dressings use our patented hydrocolloid technology and are uniquely formulated with the core materials being chemically identical and hence compatible. This means there is no migration of these materials into the wound and the dressings remain integrated and do not break down after absorption of wound fluid.
High Fluid-Handling Capacity
- The Standard Hydrocolloid Wound Dressing has a high fluid-handling capacity, yet is thinner and more conformable than comparable commercial dressings.*
- The standard dressings provide long-term wear (up to seven days) and maintain a moist wound healing environment, which helps to minimize skin maceration and facilitates granulation, epithelialization and autolysis.
Enhanced Patient Experience
- Not only do the dressings meet ISO 10993 biocompatibility requirements for use as a medical device, these skin-friendly dressings are formulated to be gentle to periwound skin.
Conformable
- The rounded corners help to prevent edge lift, while the thin and flexible design allows the dressings to easily conform to the body, ultimately enhancing patient comfort.
