Chicago – February 2, 2011 – Peter C. Johnson, MD, Vice President of Research and Development with Avery Dennison Medical Solutions, a division of Avery Dennison Corporation (NYSE: AVY) and a global leader in pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) technologies for medical applications, will be a key speaker at the Innovation Briefs Theater during the Medical Design & Manufacturing (MD&M) West Conference taking place February 7-10 in Anaheim, Calif. Dr. Johnson will present on Tuesday, February 8, at 12 pm PST in Theater 2, Booth 3541. Avery Dennison Medical Solutions will also be exhibiting at the Exposition in Hall E, Booth 735.
Dr. Johnsonʼs presentation, entitled “Skin & Adhesives: Optimizing the Interface Between the Temporary Medical Device (TMD) and the Patient,” will focus on a new process for selecting adhesives used in TMDs and how it enhances accurate pairing of PSAs with TMDs. Other topics he will address include designoriented testing, precise adhesive synthesis and efficient polylaminate manufacturing.
